Position Description:


Works in collaboration with web designers, developers, project managers, communicators and end users to build and maintain user-centered web pages and digital products. Monitors and maintains areas of the company intranet and assists end users with using the intranet. Administers event management websites and administers an event app. Crops, resizes and optimizes images for the web. Ensures that the front-end design, functionality, and content structure of websites, web applications and the intranet facilitate a positive user experience. May create site diagrams, wireframes, prototypes and user documentation. Edits videos for use on social media and websites. Assists in optimizing website content and structure to facilitate search engine findability (enhance SEO). Authorized to provide technical assistance on approved social media sites.


Day to Day Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Builds simple HTML web pages for the company intranet.
  • Performs routine maintenance and updates to existing websites and intranet using web development and content management system (CMS) tools.
  • Creates online versions of print magazine articles using an Umbraco content management system (CMS) following formatting and style guidelines.
  • Ensures that the front-end design, functionality, and content structure of web sites and web applications facilitate a positive user experience.
  • May create website diagrams, wireframes and prototypes. Coordinates with other designers and developers to achieve user interface goals; and may suggest functionality, design, or information architecture improvements to existing web sites and products.
  • Optimizes website content and structure to facilitate search engine optimization.
  • Creates responsive HTML email templates.
  • Creates and configures event registration websites using an event management platform.
  • Configures and maintains mobile app for company events.

What You Bring to the Team:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Communications, Web Design, or a related field; or equivalent experience; and two (2) or more years of experience working with websites or web products and digital media. One year of content management system (CMS) experience required (SharePoint preferred). One year of video editing experience preferred.

Intermediate skill level in the use of graphics tools (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Visio or equivalent); web development tools (e.g. Dreamweaver, Visual Studio); content management systems (e.g. Umbraco, SharePoint) and source control tools (e.g. Team Foundation Server for Visual Studio).

  • Demonstrated ability to create responsive web pages from scratch using HTML and CSS3 in a text editor or web development tool.
  • Web design, user interaction (UX), HTML email, and video editing experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with:
    • Paper and interactive prototypes.
    • Wireframes and website diagrams
    • Information architecture (site organization) principles.
    • W3C and 508C standards requirements.
  • Working knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) principles and practices; Google Analytics; creating user documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Ability to organize and coordinate multiple functions is required.
  • Must exhibit superior customer service skills while interacting with association and bank management and staff, external vendors, and prospective bank and web site customers.
